Position Description

About Us:

We are a healthy medium-sized church currently in a stage of adjustment and rebuilding our congregation after the pandemic. We have a Worship and Youth Pastor on staff, as well as 3 other support staff. Our vision statement is: “To be a gospel focused community that intentionally reaches our community for Christ”. We are affiliated with Fellowship Prairies and are located in the scenic Lakeland of Bonnyville 250 km NE of Edmonton, Alberta.

Our Ministries:

Sunday Service with Sunday School, several week-day Life Groups, Youth Groups, many Carnivals that build bridges within the town and surrounding areas, our Camp Shekinah that we hold for 2 weeks every summer, and so much more!!

We are seeking a godly Pastor who:

• Is a born-again follower of Jesus Christ, living a spirit-led life according to Biblical virtues.
• Has seminary training, preferably a Masters Degree.
• Has more than 6 years of experience as a Pastor.
• Has strengths in engaging and relatable preaching, building relationships, and has excellent leadership qualities.
• Has experience in counseling those with personal and spiritual needs
• Is honest and trustworthy
• Values prayer as a priority
• Is motivated by people and will strive to really get to know his church family.
• Has strong Biblical knowledge and can apply it to everyday life

The Lead Pastor will be responsible for delivering the majority of Sunday sermons, counselling,  leading the ministry team and driving our vision.
