Position Description

House Leaders

Lindenwood is a faith based ministry focused on helping residents change their lives through the delivery of a year long program.   The live-in House Leaders will be a committed and enthusiastic couple who provide a family atmosphere for our Christ centered home for young men aged 18-25 years old facing lifestyle changes.  A private apartment is provided and household expenses are covered.  Lindenwood is a smoke, alcohol and drug free facility.

The main focus for the house leaders will be to assist residents become healthy, responsible and accountable, godly men.  The coiuple will directly collaborate with the Program Leader, and are required to sign their agreement with :Lindenwood's statement of faith.


The House Mother & Father will create a loving Christian family environment for the residents through:     

Leading in daily devotions with residents and other staff                                                                     

Spending time with the residents each evening when they are on duty

Working with residents in areas of personal development, growth, life skills

Providing social and spiritual activities that inspire residents to achieve their goals

Demonstrating grace, self -discipline, and conflict resolution skills

Organizing the care of the home and property

Shopping and menu planning

Participating in fundraising activities


Applicants should be mature, responsible individuals with a sense of mission and should be familiar with the information on our website

As well, they should have:

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with others

The ability to run a household (6 residents, 3 staff) and have Food Safety Certification

A minimum of 3-5 years of combined residential care and/or pastoral experience

A strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health

Valid driving licenses with clean driving abstracts

Strong oral, written and numerical skills

Computer skills including using the Internet, spreadsheets, etc.

A current police records check, CPIC, enhanced to include Vulnerable Populations

At least three references

Membership in a Christ centred church


This is a one year contract with potential for renewal.  Please state your remuneration requirements.


Lindenwood is an adult care facility for up to 6 young men  situated on  75 acres between Owen Sound and Wiarton.
