Position Description

Who we are:

Middle East Baptist Church (MEBC) is a multi-generational church with people of Middle-Eastern roots.

Our mission is to glorify and worship God; cultivate the unity of the church; disciple, equip and send the saints; and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ

We have two congregations within our church; one is Arabic-Speaking and the other is English-Speaking (Given Road Church - GRC). This posting is for GRC congregation.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the lead pastors to implement the goals and plans set for the English Church according to its vision and mission described above.
  • Officiate the regularly scheduled weekly Sunday service.
  • Oversee the junior and senior ministries, while collaborating in unison with its leadership team.
  • Perform regular pastoral duties, such as shepherding, counseling, visitation, preaching, teaching, and outreach.
  • Work diligently “to equip the people of God for work of service, so the body of Christ may be built up until we all become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ,” (Eph. 4:11-13)
  • Direct the performance of the Lord’s Supper (Communion)
  • May perform, at your discretion, the rite of weddings and funeral or memorial services.
  • Be the spiritual leader of the English Church and shall work in close cooperation with the MEBC pastors.
  • Lead the evangelistic and mission activities.
  • Serve in accordance with the MEBC constitution and Statement of Faith.

Who you are:

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates spiritual maturity and models an authentic relationship with the Lord.
  • Highly relational and able to relate well with church leaders, ministers, congregants and guests.
  • Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree from a Bible college preferred.
  • Motivational and inspiring communicator.
  • A leader who demonstrates initiative and has the ability to make impactful changes.
  • Strategic thinking, planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, mentoring and people skills.
  • Ability to build and oversee ministry teams.
