Position Description

Start anytime before May 31, 2018.

After School Program Instructor and Supply Instructor Triumph Learning Centre is a Christian learning centre. We are looking for an experienced and passionate instructor to work with a diverse team of after school program providers.

The purpose of the After School Program is to provide safe, secure childcare by qualified professionals with meaningful activities for families attending the participating school.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Pick up students from participating school and walk or drive back to the centre.

2. Planning, implementing and evaluating age appropriate programs to enhance the children’s development in the different areas of academic.

3. Promoting and enhancing creativity within all areas of programming.

4. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children within the centre.

5. Nurturing working relationships with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds in our centre.

6. Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and verbal/written communication skills to ensure positive communication with parents, co-workers and community members.

7. Effective problem solving strategies with conflict and resolution styles while providing supervision and guidance to the children.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Excellent knowledge of child development.

2. Excellent communication (Fluent in English) (Fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese is an asset) and interpersonal skills.

3. Strong organizational skills and self-control

4. Valid Driver’s License (Class G) with 3 yeras driving experiences and has a access to a car

5. Valid and current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.

6. ECE or ECA educational background is an asset.

 

WORKING HOURS: 1. 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 3 days a week.
