Position Description

Each week our Pastoral student will plan and organize Sunday morning services from May 18, 2019, till the end of June. Each service will be an approximately an hour long, being composed of songs, scripture, and sermon. During the month of July and August, all our guest Speakers will be in contact with our student, with all the details of each service which is to be put in and prepared as a Sunday morning bulletin. Announcements, introducing and welcoming our Guest Speaker will all be part of the leadership of our student Sunday morning. Likewise, if there are children who desire to participate in Sunday School during the morning services, our student is required to be prepared to lead and instruct the children with Bible stories and fun crafts. During the month of July and August, "North Club" the name of our Vacation Bible school, begins each day from 10 am till noon. Songs, skits, games, Bible teaching and stories will all be organized and taught by our Pastoral Student. A youth group may be another aspect of leadership for our student, depending on numbers and interest. There will be other aspects of this job, lawn mowing, light custodial work and clean up all to be discussed at our interview.

A cottage on church property is provided for the student at NO COST just bedding and groceries will be needed. However, our student MUST be mature enough to live alone and be a self -motivator during the quieter months at the beach, mostly May and June. A car would be an asset for our student at the Beach but a bike would be useful as well.

This Pastoral Student Summer Position is for the student who is willing to learn, enjoy and experience many varied aspects of ministry in preparation for their future. Our Pastoral student will be released from all his/her/responsibilities of this Summer Pastoral position by August 23, 2019. This also applies to a couple if interested.

If you are interested in this Pastoral Position, please send your resume to the email provided stromecindy@gmail.com as soon as possible. If as well, you need clarity and have questions please call me at the phone numbers provided and I will try to answer all your concerns and questions. Thank you. Cindy Strome.
