Position Description

Policy and Procedure Writer

 

Position Summary:

The Policy and Procedure Writer will engage subject matter experts and PTR management in your initiative to develop standardized policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will breakdown all industry, departmental and employee level accountabilities, procedures and any other related best practices for ministries and churches. Upon completion of initial drafts, PTR’s Management will review and suggest corrections that will need to be completed. Once these corrections are completed, the document must go through a final review by Management which will add necessary regulatory changes for final approval.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Analyze, research and develop policy and procedure documents
  2. Professionally design high-quality procedural documents that are clear, concise and accurate
  3. Revise and update procedures regularly to ensure the most up to date procedures are readily available and subject matter remains accurate
  4. Observe PTR representatives to learn appropriate subject matter
  5. Communicate effectively with all organizational employees to ensure accuracy and complete the approval process
  6. Create job aids and desk reference material to assist in training, accuracy and efficiency
  7. Utilize creative thinking to suggest process streamlining or improvements
  8. Maintain policies and procedure in a centralized database on department intranet site
  9. Track all changes and revisions to all procedural documents
  10. Various administrative duties as assigned

 

Desired Experience:

  • One year of experience with writing policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Exceptionally effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in time management
  • Demonstrated experience with process flow and process mapping
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
