Position Description

The Church Associate Assistant is responsible for all aspects of connecting with and developing the churches that are a part of the Missional Church Blueprint Program. This will include newcomer assimilation, training and development, weekend services and outreach events.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Work with church staff to continuously create new events and other venues for inviting new people to eventually become regular attendees of church services.
  2. Follow up with and track the churches to ensure they are following their discipleship pathway.
  3. Work with our Director of Training and Development to assist in facilitation of trainings, and track individual churches through the training program.
  4. Work with churches for the scheduling, programming, and overall facilitation of routine baptism services.
  5. Provide oversight and direction of current outreach ministries within the churches.
  6. Assist the Church Associate with Pastoral Coaching sessions and the facilitation of leadership meetings, along with keeping records.
  7. Give oversight to leadership in outreach, evangelism, small groups, discipleship and guest services.
  8. Connect with new churches to promote and advertise the MCB program and training workshops.
  9. Assist in any conferences, workshops or seminars that are hosted by Passion to Reach Ministries.


  1. Current bible college student; or college/university student with extensive experience in ministry at a local church.
  2. One year related ministry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Deep desire to work with the local church and see them progress and move toward their vision and mission.
  4. Proven success in casting vision, providing leadership, and managing day-to-day operations of multiple organizational areas.
  5. Ability to guide staff towards clear ministry expectations and communicate vision effectively; ensure that direct reports understand ministry-specific goals
  6. Experience in sermon writing and preaching is an asset.
  7. Experience with implementation of principles and practices critical to church health and church growth.
  8. Commitment to mission and vision of Passion to Reach Ministries.
  9. Ability to relate well with all types of people, attentive and an active listener; patience to hear others out and build rapport with dignity and tact.
  10. Clear and effective communicator.
  11. Ability to manage time well and multi-task.
  12. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and church management softwares.
  13. Work ethics compatible with a Christian ministry’s values.
