Position Description

Partners International Canada (PI Canada) is a leading Christian charity partnering with and accelerating locally-led Christian ministries engaged in equipping the church, empowering women and children, and transforming communities in the least reached and least resourced regions of the world. Through holistic development and Christian witness, we work exclusively with our indigenous Christian partners to resource catalytic Kingdom growth and develop long-term sustainable ministry outcomes.  We seek to see churches come into existence and to bring contextual and effective development that transforms the places where we work (West Africa, East Africa, Southeast Asia, Asia, Latin America, Brazil and the Middle-East).

Job Description:  Reporting to and partnering with the President, the Summer Intern plays an important role in supporting the President’s development mandate to identify, engage and activate new donors and manage existing donor relationships to increase regional revenues and achieve organizational marketing objectives.



Donor Development (Individuals & Churches) - 50%

Develop and expand existing & new church relationships with key clergy and mission committees by developing a schedule of events for staff to attend

Contact churches to ascertain their needs for updated PI Canada reports and marketing materials

Secure and schedule donor meetings for development representatives

Identify, contact, and nurture new prospective individual donors


Marketing Initiatives - 25%

Participate in marketing meetings and maintain tactical calendars

Develop and expand our Champions and Advocates programmes

Promote and provide logistical support for fundraising events

Facilitate donor specific content to support social media activities

Conduct market research


Administrative Support - 25%

Process inbound donor requests and action with/to appropriate individual/department

Assist the President with individual tasks as assigned


Skills and Abilities

Possesses very strong sales/people engagement process and relationship building skills

Strong writing and word processing ability

Can demonstrate sensitivity to cross-cultural issues and an appreciation of diversity

Can understand and affirm the particular mission approach of PI Canada

Telemarketing experience and solid telephone manner

Pursuing university degree in business or marketing

Experience working with databases or CRM (Raiser’s Edge an asset)

Advanced knowledge of Google Drive and Microsoft Office


Salary:  $13 per hour

Location: Brampton, Ontario


Travel: Within Ontario 10%, within Canada <5%
