Position Description

Crossroads Pregnancy Centre is a Christian Pro-life organization. This position is best suited to an individual who is comfortable sharing their own Christian Faith and serving in a nonjudgemental Pro-life ministry capacity.


Objectives of the Position: The Assistant Director works closely alongside the Executive Director to assist in overseeing the day to day operations of the center. The Assistant Director learns every aspect of the ministry. Their primary area of responsibility will be to oversee the volunteers and the client services and resources they provide.


Reports to: The Executive Director


Supervises: All volunteer staff at the Centre



Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position
Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies of the Centre
Have a degree or relevant education preferably in a helping field, or related experience
Have two years of experience in a helping profession in a position requiring management experience or equivalent.
Exhibit skill in interpersonal communication, public speaking, and problem-solving.
Be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to the volunteers from a Christian perspective
Be able to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision.

Essential Functions:



Develop and maintain monthly schedule for client service workers (volunteers)

Maintain accurate statistical information, including data entry
Oversee all client programs offered
Evaluate each program quarterly and report to the Executive Director
Complete required yearly statistical information for CAPSS
Assist in the planning and implementing of fundraiser and volunteer events

Client Services

Oversee peer counseling and other services provided for clients

Provide peer counseling and services for clients when volunteers are not available.
Maintain and update the referral resources for volunteer and client use
Maintain counseling rooms supplies, office supplies, and client resources
Evaluate, select, and maintain needed educational materials and resources for client use with the help of the Executive Director
Be available to minister to the needs of the volunteers
Oversee all practical help resources, and ensure quality control and safety standards are maintained.

III. Training

Assist in conducting volunteer training seminars
Assist in recruiting, selecting, and interviewing possible volunteers for the Centre
Conduct and supervise the orientation of new volunteers in the Centre
Assist in scheduling volunteer in-service training.

All staff are required to attend and help organize special events to promote the Centre (includes fundraising events)
