The Church Community
Banwell Community Church is located in East Windsor at 2400 Banwell Road.  This residential area is characterized by family neighborhoods and subdivisions; however, church membership and participation comes from neighbourhoods, communities, and
towns throughout the whole of Essex County.
Banwell Community Church worships together in one traditional service at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.  Attendance averages about 255 each week; however, 500 people would call it their home church.  Bible fellowship starts at 9:30 a.m. and has an average attendance of 35 people.
The congregational demographics of Banwell Community Church spans all age groups and is reflective of the multicultural makeup of Canadian society.  Banwell Community Church is blessed to have a congregation that is made up of people of many ethnicities, educational levels, and occupations.  Together, our congregation is united as God’s messengers, eager to allow His light to shine as we use our individual and unique gifts to serve our community and engage the outside word with the message of the Gospel.

Ministries
Men’s Ministry
The men of Banwell are committed to gathering together to develop their faith as individual men and to establish themselves as representatives of Christ's love and hope in the local community and throughout God’s world.
The Men's Ministry committed themselves to the development and implementation of various activities, each exemplifying their commitment to being God’s faithful servants, that support the local church and in various communities throughout the City of Windsor and Essex County.
Perhaps their most visible activity is the Monthly Men's Breakfast which allows the males of our church to gather at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month (excluding August). During this time of fellowship, the men sit down to a delicious breakfast from a menu which varies throughout the year.  Breakfast is followed by a motivating and interesting talk given by a church member or select Christian guests from the community at large.

Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry of Banwell Community Church schedules various events throughout the year such as the Harvest Tea where the women of Banwell gather together as sisters in Christ, to support members of the community that need help.  Their loving commitment to others was recently exemplified by their support for the House of Sophrosyne, a charitable organization – active in Windsor-Essex for 35 years – that provides programs and services to women and their families who are battling addiction and substance misuse.

Senior’s Ministry
At Banwell, we value all ages and stages of life.  Our seniors continue to be a very important part of our ministries here.  We all benefit from their experience and perspectives.  The Senior’s Ministry is a group that meets monthly for fellowship and fun.  Most months include a lunch meeting which typically includes a guest speaker or presentation of interest to the group.

Rock Solid Youth Ministry
Rock Solid Ministries meets at the church on Friday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
This program provides fellowship opportunities for young people between grades 6-12.  Friday nights are filled with Bible study, games, music, special events and snacks.

Rock Solid Kids Ministry
During the worship service, kids from JK to Grade 5 are invited to go to Children’s Church where they learn about the Bible through fun activities such as singing, games, stories, and crafts. There is an average attendance of about 30-40 kids each Sunday.
Prior to making their way to the Children’s Church meeting rooms, the youngest among us gather briefly with the Pastor for warm, welcoming, and heartfelt message designed and delivered especially for children by the leader of our church.

The children of Banwell Community Church are also invited to participate in “Kid’s Zone” every Thursday evening from 6:30pm-8pm where they again learn about the Bible through a variety of fun activities, games, and movies. There is an average attendance of about 25-30 children each week.

In addition, there is also Vocational Bible school during the summer. This past summer, the theme was “Passport to Peru” where the children learned about God’s good gifts and the country of Peru. This VBS had approximately 35 children attend.

Small Groups
Banwell Community Church offers a wide variety of faith-based small groups dedicated to encouraging and inspiring each other in a biblical community that helps us become more like Jesus in every area of our lives. Groups are facilitated by the pastor as well as members of the congregation.
