Position Description

The Resource and Communications Coordinator will work with our national team and will report to the Associate Director for Canada. The primary goals of the position is to support the Associate Director with operational support in the following areas,

#1 - Supporting the development of regional weekly reporting, communications and event management

#2 - Managing the collection and development of regional and national stories to be used for reporting, partner updates, online sharing and proposal development

#3 - General administration for churches, customer support and issue resolution

#4 - Supporting the AD/ED in National partner development ie. Bible League, GFS, and national engagement initiatives ie. youth symposiums and video resources.

Tasks Under Primary Functions


Attend weekly meetings, record minutes, provide RD’s with resources requested and coordinate templated resource docs to allow them to function more effectively. Reducing Administration.
Gather stories and feedback from each RD in order to compile active lists of ministry engagement.
Assist RD’s in the coordination and arranging of events.


Stage two of story collection and development to be compiled for National Social Media posts.
Ministry engagement stories to be used in the development of Monthly Reporting to Partners (BLC) and Donors. the goal will be to have higher interaction and giving through proper story telling.


Assist in managing general correspondence with RD’s, churches and advocates.  Main area of support would be during AD travel in order to keep communication current.
Manage shipping reports, requests and submissions to HQ and ACI on a weekly basis.
Communicate with ACI and church partners to resolve any ordering and shipping concerns.


Support to strategic ministry initiatives - curriculum development (camp)
Support and coordination of youth symposiums
Develop customized foundation proposals with consistent communication and tone.

Financial Goals

There are three goals for the Resource and Communications Coordinator position.

#1 - Support and release the ED/AD through administrative support in order for them to better serve the ministry within their positions.

#2 - Develop clear and consistent communications for AIC in order to engage our partners and ministry supporters through proposals, appeals and alumni.

#3 - The position would have a goal of $25,000 raised in new funds for the first year. After year one, the position would be reviewed and new goals set.


Awana will build a contract/full-time position that is relavant for the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. Please include a rough outline of availibility for travel, weekly hours and wages needed in your cover letter.
