Position Description

Associate Pastor of Youth and Children

White Rock Community Church

“Helping People Reach Their God-given Potential in Jesus Christ”

WRCC, part of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada is a Christ-centered community seeking Intimate Worship with God, equipping believers through Intentional Discipleship and seeking to reach a lost and hurting world with Impactful Outreach.

WRCC is a growing church serving the city of White Rock and Surrey on the West Coast. We emphasize solid expositional preaching, sound theology and cultural relevance and have a fabulous intergenerational ministry.  We are currently seeking a called servant of God to lead our youth and children’s ministries. Under the direction of the Lead Pastor, this Youth Pastor will have the primary responsibility for implementing WRCC’s vision amongst the youth of the church and community as well as giving strategic leadership to our children’s ministry and Summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) . The candidate will also have opportunity to develop (under the mentorship of the Lead Pastor) in all areas of pastoral ministry. He will serve as a team member alongside the Lead Pastor, Associate Pastor, worship director and office administrator.

Because of the transitional period of our youth ministry here at WRCC, the applicant will need strong skills in initiating outreach possibilities and connecting with the un-churched – particularly in our local high school and with the friends of our churched youth. This is an ideal opportunity for a person who wants to explore innovative approaches to ministry and contribute significantly to a fresh growing work of God as He seems to be up to something here in our community.
