About Circle Square Ranch Big Clear Lake

We are a summer camp and retreat center a part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship devoted to pursuing revival in Eastern Ontario. Through of summer camp programs we long to see children and youth saved, healed and delivered through encountering Jesus, and sent out transformed as extraordinary kingdom leaders.


Job Qualifications

-Experience with children/youth (ages 16 – 17)

-Experience with or interest in children/youth with behavioral challenges or physical/mental disabilities

-A growing relationship with Jesus and desire for more

-Enthusiasm, energy, patience, adaptability

-Valid police check

-Must be willing to work long hours

-Relevant certifications or education a huge asset

-At least 17 years old or completed LIT training


Job description

-Be one-on-one support for a camper who requires extra care or supervision, this may be due to behavior challenges or disabilities

-Care may include dealing with aggressive, defiant or anxious campers

-Care may include assisting campers with daily personal hygiene

-Interview parents of one-on-one campers to determine their specific needs

-Assist activity leaders with adapting activities to meet the campers’ needs

-Mentor leaders in training if assigned

-Be ready to help however needed – you never know what will happen at camp!


**This position is volunteer, with a weekly stipend of $140 and the opportunity to fundraise additional salary through the Summer Missions program**


Start date and hours:

-Must be able to attend staff training the last week of June and work 5-7 weeks of the summer (you are assigned at least one week off in the middle of the summer)

-On work weeks, you get one day off (Saturday noon – Sunday afternoon) and one hour off per day.
