RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide one on one professional care and support to women who are experiencing crisis due to family violence.

• Bachelor of Social Work Degree required
• Minimum 3 years counseling experience preferred
• Knowledge of family violence issues, mental health issues and, addictions
• Ability to work within an anti-oppressive practice framework
• Ability to effectively deal with conflict
• Skills in counselling, crisis intervention, accessing community resources
• Program Development and Implementation an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, French is an asset
• Exceptional Teamwork skills
• Valid certification in First Aid/CPR and Crisis Intervention
• Valid G class driver’s license
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

HOURS: 40 hours per week, rotating shifts

SALARY: $39,600 - $52,770 per year

Within a Christian and holistic framework we provide safety, support, education and advocacy in a non-judgmental, culturally sensitive atmosphere. We empower women to live violence free.
