RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate intake procedures by completing appropriate paper work
  • Assist with supervision of clients
  • Responds to client needs in an appropriate manner and distributes client medication according to direction on prescription
  • Intervenes when confrontations occur between clients
  • Maintains surveillance of security monitors, performs internal and external facility security checks
  • Records information in log book accurately and legibly
  • Completes laundry requirements as necessary
  • Ensure all donations received are recorded according to policy
  • Enforce Agency Rules and Expectations consistently
  • Monitor dining room during all meals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College diploma in Social Sciences field or equivalent experience (minimum)  Note:  An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
  • More than three (3) months but less than one (1) year prior related experience, including, experience with frontline work in a social services setting
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of working with marginalized population
  • Ability to work both independently and under cooperative supervision
  • Possess some computer skills in word processing and database
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Possess current certification in First Aid/CPR+AED; Non Violent Crisis Intervention
  • Supply a clean Criminal Police Investigation Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Immunization for Hepatitis B

SALARY: $14.00 - $16.54 per hour
