Position Description

Summer Sunday’s Children’s Ministry Leader

A paid 10 hour/week position for 10 weeks (June 21, 2018 to August 30, 2018) directing all aspects of the Sunday programming for children aged nursery to grade 5.


The successful candidate will:

  • Affirm a growing personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Be able to articulate their Christian faith to others, particularly children
  • Embrace and uphold Little Trinity’s Vision, Mission, and What We Believe
  • Have demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate volunteers
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be able to use email, Microsoft office and/or Google Docs software
  • Be legally able to work in Canada
  • Consent to and pass a Vulnerable Sector Screening process


  • Work in conjunction, via regular meetings, with the Director of the Children’s Ministry to align practices with the core values and aims of Children’s Ministry at Little Trinity
  • Translate a purchased curriculum (for JK-gr.5) into weekly lesson plans
  • Setup and maintain a weekly nursery and PreK care program
  • Recruit, place, communicate with and oversee volunteer leaders on a weekly basis
  • Work within a budget for purchasing necessary supplies
  • Manage physical spaces and materials during the summer (setup, take down, etc.)
