Marketing and Communications Lead

Position Summary

This is a key role in the development and implementation of strategies and plans to promote Interserve Canada. Working in a lean and independent environment, you will partner with a variety of clients and stakeholders to develop and implement communication plans and marketing strategies.  You will have the freedom to be creative and leverage different tactics to achieve the organization’s strategic goals. You will be responsible for designing and creating print, events, web, design, new media content, corporate and other integrated campaigns and initiatives, and facilitate production working with external suppliers where necessary.  And ensuring adherence to organizational national and international standards, trademark and legal standards/guidelines.  Interserve is a global organization, therefore you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues and stakeholders from multiple cultures and time zones including occasional travel.

You come to us with:

  • Diploma or degree in journalism, media, or communications preferred
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including creative writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge in print layout and design software (eg. InDesign), video production and editing, web design, copywriting, and authoring social media content (ie. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in small cross-functional teams
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage competing and evolving projects and workflow
  • Ability to travel across Canada and globally occasionally
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage work and time independently.
  • Ability to be flexible, take quick action, and ensure accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships
