Director of Mobilization
Organization Overview:
SIM Canada is part of an international, interdenominational, evangelical mission with over 2,000 missionaries serving in more than 50 countries around the world.  SIM Canada is a community of God's people who delight to worship him and are passionate about the Gospel, seeking to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ in the world.  In particular, the Stronger Together Partnership (STP) is a ministry group dedicated to representing the missionary, church, SIM Canada and the Field.
Position Overview:
The Director of Mobilization will lead SIM’s efforts to mobilize people to serve in missions.
This position reports to the Executive Director
Major Responsibilities:

1) Job Functions:
o Provide leadership and oversight for all involved in aspects of mobilization and recruitment as they engage with those considering going forward with SIM in Cross Cultural Ministry.
o Develop, implement and lead creative strategies for reaching out to various sectors seeking opportunities to communicate the mission and vision of SIM.
o Lead team members to prayerfully engage in conversations pointing those who are ready to go forward, to completing the Get Started inquirer form on-line.
o Lead the Go Team, which manages relationships with Inquirers and Applicants.
o Manage relationship-connecting points that may influence recruitment.
o Work with Director of Communications on Discovery phases of mobilization.
o Liaises with: GO Team, Director of Recruitment, Executive Director,

3)  Activities: 
• Direct public activities such as missions fests.
• Meet with Inquiries to disciple into missions.
• Lead and influence all personnel involved in aspects of mobilization.
• Assess processes and procedures to insure alignment with over all mobilization strategy and the needs of those on the journey to cross cultural ministry.
• Keep abreast of trends, best practices and current realities that impact effective communications toward missions.

All Members of Director’s Group are to be involved in the following:
1. Attend Daily Chapels
2. Attend Monthly Half Day or Full day of Prayer
3. Attend Monthly Staff Meetings
4. Participate in monthly DG meeting (Those at #10)
5. Answer email and phone calls promptly
6. Respond to other activities as given by Supervisor or Group Leader
7. Participate on staff Committees as needed or have interest

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) 
• Strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to build effective relationships
• Critical thinking skills and sound judgment
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SIM Canada or overseas experience is an asset
• Greater than 3 years’ experience of overseas missions work is an asset
• Police Clearance Check Required.
• Attend STP meetings, attend Monthly Half Day or Full day of Prayer.

Location: Scarborough, Ontario, and some travel required for mission events and enquiries.

Work Hours:  This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 7.5 hours a day. Some weekends required.
