We are located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau and across Ontario through our CITYCAMP program. We specialize in summer camp, day camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world.

Job Title:                    Product Marketing Manager

Reports to:                 Marketing & Sales Director

Employment Status:  Full Time

Job Purpose:

The Product Marketing Manager gives strategic and execution leadership to the marketing and sales of specific product lines of business within but not limited to Summer Camp, CITYCAMP and Schools & Groups. This role primarily works with the existing customer to drive 3R (return, related, referral) sales via social media, email marketing and sales tactics. This role also project manages creative services and events which serves each internal departments’ needs. This person is accountable for reaching revenue and guest attendance targets by researching and developing product marketing opportunities and campaigns, creating sales strategies, managing staff and meeting internal creative services needs on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and achieve marketing & sales annual objectives and targets by creating strategic marketing & sales plans, preparing and completing action plans, implementing promotions, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements and implementing change
  • Create and implement product marketing calendar and workbacks
  • Active benchmarking, measurement and analysis of product performance, marketing spend and effectiveness
  • Budget management
  • Propose new marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements, defining market, competitor benchmarking, and actively learning and implementing new marketing trends
  • Research and propose new related sales product ideas
  • Source, price and manage fulfilment of promotional and related sale items
  • Develop and execute digital and traditional media buying marketing tactics that meet strategic objectives of internal needs (e.g. HR for recruitment, digital buys for Content Manager)
  • Manage and execute PR, Event and Ambassador tactics that meet strategic objectives and lead generation goals
  • Manage execution of sales plans to meet sales goals
  • Oversee project management of marketing assets for all SBMU’s and departments including creation and communication of work-back schedules for all departments to ensure deadlines are met
  • Management of all creative resources including designers (internal & external), printers and other agency relationships
  • Manage marketing & sales team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and evaluating employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; and provide spiritual leadership to the team
  • Work collaboratively with Content Manager to ensure product and content marketing compliment each other to achieve best outcomes for overall business, and provide  creative and media buying (i.e. social, digital, traditional) services to the Content Manager  when required
  • Work on special projects and contribute ideas to the growth of the department
  • Participate in meetings and corporate events as required

Requirements:

  • Related university degree
  • Min. 3 years product marketing, project and people management experience
  • Proven ability in strategic objective setting, people management, agency relationships
  • Expert understanding of digital advertising, email marketing, social media and intermediate understanding of traditional advertising, intermediate understanding of how to measure effectiveness of each
  • Thorough understanding of sales and product category performance analysis

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and capacity to work effectively with strong personalities and demanding time-pressing decisions
  • Outstanding problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Highly motivated, positive, goal-driven and self–starter with capability of prioritizing and managing multiple projects through completion with minimal supervision
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and travel within the GTA, resort travel min. of 30% of the time from Sept-June and up to 50% June-August (mileage, room & board provided)
  • Highly organized and process oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A servant heart and attitude that is ready to jump in and help the community wherever and however needed
