Position Description

Academic Rank:  A 2-year (24-month) renewable contract position as an Assistant Professor or higher if experience and qualifications warrant.

Salary & Benefits:  Based on education and experience per the Crandall University Faculty Handbook.
        (Approximate range $53,000 - $80,600).  Includes a generous benefit and retirement     package.

Starting Date:   August 1, 2018 pending final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:  A PhD or an appropriate graduate degree or professional designation in a business related area.

Particulars of the Position:  To be considered for appointment candidates must be committed to teaching and pursuing scholarship from a Christian perspective and to the mission and the statement of faith of the university.  The successful candidate for this position will need to be multi-disciplinary in the range of their teaching capacity in business.

 The successful candidate will also be comfortable with and embrace the opportunity of instructing courses with a majority of the enrollment consisting of international students. The successful candidate may also be asked to teach one of their courses as an intensive course each year outside of North American.

Teaching Load:   Eight semester courses per year or equivalent.

Other Duties:  Research and publication is not an obligatory component of this position for promotion purposes but continued professional development will be expected in order to retain currency. The successful candidate will serve as academic advisor to students enrolled in an undergraduate business program and will be expected to function on at least one university committee annually.  In addition, Faculty are encouraged to be involved within their respective discipline’s professional organizations or agencies. They also are encouraged to find their role of service within a local church and their community.
