Harbour Ridge Camp

Harbour Ridge Camp is a Christ-centered summer camp focused on planting and nurturing seeds of a spiritual life through engaging children, youth and their leaders in active and fun experiences, which develop a sense of community and growth. Harbour Ridge Camp offers camping programs for children and youth ages 7-16, over a course of 7 weeks this summer.

Harbour Ridge Camp shares its property with Wesley Acres Christian Retreat Centre and Campground located in Prince Edward County.

Positions:

Male Unit Leader (Must be 18+):

Description: The Male Unit Leader will be hired to lead and disciple all-male staff that works in Harbour Ridge Camps this summer. Their main job responsibility will be to hold the male and camp leaders (junior and senior) accountable to camp goals and policies; assist camp leaders in dealing with camper issues, oversee activity areas, and disciple staff through small groups and one on one meetings. They will also be responsible for preparing and leading chapels for the kids and youth, preparing Bible studies and devotions, and encouraging the staff to do the same.

Compensation: The Male Unit Leader will be compensated $400.00/week plus room and board. Please note, this job requires you to be on sight for the summer which is why accommodations are provided.

Start Date: June 11 - August TBD (End Date is flexible)

Day Camp Unit Leader (Must be 18+):

Description: The Day Camp Unit Leader will be hired to lead and disciple all staff and campers in the Harbour Ridge Day Camps offered this summer. Their main job responsibilities will include planning a camp program geared towards children and youth, preparing a rotation schedule ensuring all campers get to participate in the activities camp offers, as well as overseeing staff and assisting them in leading activities, helping with camper issues, and ensuring a fun God-centered day camp program is run.

Compensation: Day Camp Unit Leader will be compensated $400.00/week plus room and board. Please note, this job requires you to be on sight for the summer which is why accommodations are provided.

Start Date: June 11 - August TBD (End Date is flexible)

Lifeguard (Must be 16+):

Description: Lifeguards will be working on the waterfront to ensure the safety of all campers and staff who are in and around the waterfront area. Lifeguards must be present and attentive to all waterfront activities including swimming, tubing or watersports. As lifeguards are not required during the morning programs, they will assist the Unit Leaders during that time. During overnight camps, lifeguards will help in other areas as needed. This team member will demonstrate flexibility, patience, endurance, and a strong desire to share Christ.

Lifeguards will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Summer Camp Ministries and Unit Leaders.

Lifeguards must be certified in First Aid and have an up-to-date National Lifeguard Society Certification or Bronze Cross certification before July 1st, 2018.

Compensation: Lifeguards will be compensated $300.00/week plus room and board. Please note, this job requires you to be on sight for the summer which is why accommodations are provided.

Start Date: June 23 - August TBD (End Date is flexible)

Cabin Leader:

Description: Cabin Leaders are those who are 16-25 years of age and will work directly with the Female, Male and Day Camp Unit Leaders as well as the Senior Cabin Leaders to provide an engaging program for campers. Cabin Leaders will learn through assisting Senior Cabin Leaders in programming for both Day Camps and Overnight Camps. This team member will have a desire to grow in their relationship with God, in their leadership ability and in how they serve.

These Cabin Leaders will learn what it means to serve by being hands-on with their campers in helping prepare and lead activities, devotions, and chapels.

Cabin Leaders will be under the direct supervision of the Female, Male and Day Camp Unit Leaders. The Unit Leaders will work to provide assistance, discipleship, and support to the Cabin Leaders.

Compensation: Cabin Leaders will be compensated $200.00 or $250.00/week plus room and board.
