Position Description

DESCRIPTION 
The Children’s Ministry Coordinator is responsible for coordinating NGCC’s children’s ministries. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT 
This is a contract position that will be renewed annually contingent upon the results of an annual review by the Board of Directors. 

1. 8 hours/week

2. $15/hour (wages subject to required government deductions)

3. Three weeks of unpaid vacation annually 

4. Up to $750/year in Board-approved professional development expenses

5. .50/km reimbursement for ministry use of personal vehicle 
 
CONDITIONS 
The Children’s Ministry Coordinator will be able to:

• Clearly express his/her faith journey including conversion experience

• Provide affirmation of his/her call to ministry

• Provide evidence of previous ministry involvement

• Ideally provide evidence of ministry leadership experience

• Enter into a covenant relationship with NGCC and endorse the following foundational documents: o Constitution o Plan to Protect

• Provide an acceptable Police Records Check

The Ministry Coordinator will possess the following qualities: 

1. Demonstrated passion for children’s ministries

2. A passion for God, His Kingdom and our lost world

3. Highly-developed, constructive interpersonal skills

4. Effective communication skills

5. A strong commitment to the benefits of collaborative ministry 

6.  Strong organizational skills

7. Creativity 
 

 ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Children’s Ministry Coordinator shall: 

1. Develop or acquire curriculum/program for the existing Sunday School 

2. Identify, secure, train, and schedule volunteers to teach Sunday School

3. Ensure that volunteers have complementary resources in order to fulfill ministry roles

4. Oversee the implementation of the Plan to Protect Protocol

5. Develop a Children’s Ministry Plan that will:

a. Accommodate an expanding Sunday School program

b. Outreach ministries for children in the community
