Position Description

Emmanuel Bible College is accepting applications for the position of Faculty Program Manager – Assistant Professor, Youth and Family Ministry.  Special arrangements with external organizations may be made in order to facilitate employment within this position.  This is a ¼ time position with primary duties during the fall and winter terms.  Resumes will be accepted until June 21, 2018.

The Faculty Program Manager serves within the Academic Division of the college and reports to the President & Dean of the college through the Assistant Academic Dean & Registrar.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Faculty members will possess earned degrees from institutions accredited by agencies recognized by either the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U. S. Department of Education or by the appropriate provincial government.
  • Will have earned a minimum of a Master’s degree (Doctoral studies preferred) and teach in an area of documented expertise.

Experience:

  • Proven ability to teach and communicate with college students.

Duties:

  • Teaches the equivalent of 3 courses per year (may be a combination of in-class courses and development of distance education courses)
  • Attends faculty meetings and staff meetings
  • Participates in chapels and spiritual events as available
  • Participates on committees as available
  • Participates in the normal life of the College, seeking opportunities to interact with students and staff outside of specific academic duties as available
  • Upholds the policies and procedures of the College
  • Participates in training as required.
  • Serves as a student advisor under the direction of the Assistant Academic Dean & Registrar providing Academic guidance, vocational guidance, and personal support to students within his/her programs
  • Develops and upgrades the structure and content of academic programs under her/his care as advised by the Dean, as available.

General:

  • Passion for the Church and developing leaders for the Church and the world;
  • Commitment to an Evangelical expression of the Christian faith;
  • Demonstrated and related ministry experience;
  • Respect for the College’s denominational ties;
  • Spiritual maturity and desire to engage in modeling and mentoring relationships with students as opportunities arise;
  • Support for the educational distinctives of Emmanuel Bible College.

Employment Details:

Start Date: August 1, 2018

End Date: July 31, 2019 (with the possibility for renewal)
