Position Description

Emmanuel Bible College is accepting applications for the position of Interim Assistant Academic Dean & RegistrarResumes will be accepted until June 20, 2018.

The Interim Assistant Academic Dean & Registrar serves under the supervision of the President & Dean.   This position directs the daily functioning of the academic division of the College and ensures the implementation of policies under the supervision under the President/Dean, as well as serving as the College’s Registrar. The office consists of the Registrar, the Student Records Manager, and the Field Education Coordinator (who shall directly report to the Assistant Academic Dean & Registrar).

Education and Experience Requirements


The minimum of a Master’s degree with a preference for studies related to ministry and ministry development or related fields.


Significant experience in the administration of academic programs and policies in a post-secondary institution;
Strong attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral;
Extensive experience in student services, customer service, and/or in an employment context where you advised clients;
Teaching experience is preferred but not required;
Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.


Oversee production of the academic catalogue;
Oversee course registration, syllabi, scheduling, and course evaluations;
Teach up to 3 courses throughout the academic year;
Develop the roster of adjunct instructors and maintain communication with them;
Act as the liaison with the Association of Biblical Higher Education (the “ABHE”) and prepare the ABHE annual report;
Ensure compliance to ABHE accreditation standards as they relate to the academic division of the College;
Evaluate credits of all transfer students to the College;
Furnish enrolment reports as may be required for external agencies and senior leadership of the College;
Act as the liaison with Access Copyright;
Overseeing all matters relating to graduation;
Participating as a member of the College’s Academic Council and other relevant committees internal as required
Oversee the awarding of scholarships and bursaries;
Direct faculty in the advisement of students and provide guidance to students as needed;
Oversee students on academic probation;
Provide documentation for production of new DE courses;
Supervise all teaching assistants working in the College’s DE program and the Field Ed Coordinator; and
Other related duties as required.

End Date: July 31, 2019 (with the possibility for renewal)
