  • Located in the heart of Corktown near King St. E. and Parliament Street, Little Trinity has ministered in this historical part of downtown Toronto for over 175 years.

  • We are seeking a fulltime Community Connections Pastor beginning January 1st 2019.
     

Qualifications

  • A personal commitment to and passion for Jesus and trust in the authority of Scripture.
  • A biblical & missional worldview.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • A proven track record of leadership in Christian ministry.
  • Organizational abilities that can create, develop, and sustain the systems of discipleship.
  • Experience in training and encouraging church members in mission (word and deed).
  • An able, creative, articulate, and competent communicator in various forms and settings.
  • An ordained Anglican Priest in the ACoC a definite asset but not a requirement.

Ministry Responsibilities

Welcoming and integrating newcomers into the life of discipleship at Little T (30%)

  • Overseeing and supporting the systems that welcome people to Little Trinity (Greeters, Sides-people, Newcomers).
  • The execution of a quarterly newcomer’s class.
  • Facilitation of the placement of newcomers in either Alpha Ministries or a small group.

Supporting and enabling the missional work of the church (40%)

  • Supporting and discipling the lay leaders overseeing the outreach ministries of the church (Alpha, Saturday morning Coffee Outreach, and Refugee Committee).
  • The recruiting, training and support of volunteer leaders.
  • Oversee and support the work of congregation members deepening in relationship with one another and being turned outward for the sake of others. (Currently we are facilitating this by forming clusters for a trial period: mid-sized missional communities that are turned outward for the sake of their neighbourhoods).

As part of the pastoral team (30%)

  • Participate in a weekly Staff meeting (Tuesday 11:30am – 1:30pm)
  • Share in the pastoral care of the community
  • Lead and Preach at Sunday services as required
  • Occasional Services: Baptism, Marriage, Funerals
  • Shared planning and execution of yearly parish retreat.
  • Primary administrative oversight of the 6:30pm service
