The Administrative Assistant will work with the Executive Director to support the overall work of the organization and ensure professional and efficient coordination of the administrative needs of the office. The individual will also provide support to the accounting department on a weekly basis.
As the Administrative Assistant, you will help with general secretarial tasks such as answering and replying to messages as well as email. They will ensure that the building is well stocked, clean and organized, maintaining filing systems, supporting fundraising events and staff assessments. They will help in the booking and coordinating of various meeting and activities including managing the Executive Director's calendar.
An important portion of this position will be focused on supporting the accounting department with check preparation, expense forms, tax and reimbursements
The ideal candidate will need to be well organized and enthusiastic. The candidate will be great in personal time management and able to prioritize tasks as needed. An overall people-person is essential, as the Assistant must develop and maintain professional working relationships with parents, other organizations as well as MYU staff. Proficient bilingualism is essential .
Given the nature of the work, the successful Administrative Assistant will need to have access to their own transportation as light travel will be required from time to time.
