Position Description

M2/W2 Association is a Christian-based, not-for profit agency based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, that mentors offenders within provincial and federal correctional institutions (primarily in the Fraser Valley.)

M2/W2 launched NOLA (No One Leaves Alone) in April 2018. NOLA is a reintegration program designed to help provide crucial support for newly released ex-offenders as they re-enter our communities. The NOLA Reintegration Program is partially funded by Public Safety Canada.

Main Responsibilities:  

A NOLA Case Manager will report to the NOLA Program Manager and Executive Director and is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the supervision and facilitation for up to eight NOLA circles (regular meetings with the ex-offender and 3 volunteers)
  • Providing support and guidance for NOLA Circle volunteers  
  • Maintaining regular one-to-one contact with the ex-offender and provide holistic mentorship, emotional support, and assisting them plan and execute their re-integration goals
  • Helping connect the ex-offender with appropriate community services, assisting and advocating on their behalf as needed
  • Networking and engaging members of the community regarding NOLA and M2/W2

A Successful Candidate will:  

  • Have strong inter-personal skills and the ability to interact well with staff members, volunteers, offenders, and the general public 
  • Be experienced and/or comfortable working within a faith-based organization and    liaising with churches or other organizations 
  • Be reliable, self-motivated, and take initiative
  • Be highly organized, good with details, and work well with a computer
  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred) and/or experience in Restorative Justice and volunteer management
  • Have compatible values with M2/W2 Association

Work Conditions:  

Flexible full-time hours often traveling to multiple locations within the community
Travel includes use of own vehicle

Salary:

$50,000
