Position Description

Stepping Stones at MBC

Stepping Stones is a 2-4 month intentional discipleship experience, which aims to bring youth towards maturity in Christ by Renewing their relationship with God, Connecting them to a healthy community, and Equipping them to do God's work. In order to accomplish this, Stepping Stones develops youth in three areas: Spiritual Formation (Bible studies, teaching sessions, spiritual disciplines, etc.), Community Life (fellowship with a healthy community of believers) and Work Excellence (summer positions with Muskoka Bible Centre). Through Stepping Stones, MBC recruits and enrolls over 100 youth (15-25 yrs. old) for our spring/summer program.

Kids Ministry Assistant Director

This person will serve in a variety of capacities in the Kids Ministry Program. Their primary role will be to manage the day to day operations of the Kids Ministry in the Director’s absence and assisting her when on site. The role is suitable for a mature individual who has experience in staff supervision and management. This role will include teaching, administration, planning and execution of our summer Kids Ministry Program, interacting and directing parental requests/concerns, special needs experience and managing any emergency or crisis within the Kids Ministry context.


  • Early Childhood Education or Degree in Child Studies is recommended and experience in a Child Care facility an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR training a requirement.
  • Age 18+

Kids Ministry Team Lead

One enthusiastic and responsible CORE applicant will be selected to lead each of the four Kids Ministry program areas. Experience in working with children, developing/using curriculum and directing staff and/or volunteers is essential. Each leader will supervise three or more team members in their program area.


These positions will be filled with people who are passionate about children and sharing Christ's love with them through their daily interactions and bible based programming. Supervisory experience, organization skills and flexibility are essential! These leaders must be energetic, self-driven, creative and sensitive individuals who love children’s unique personalities and are willing to plant seeds of faith in the lives of young children.

  • ECE preferred.
  • Age 18+

Kids Ministry Team Member

Sundays through Fridays the Kids Ministry Team makes a positive and lasting impact on children. This team member is responsible to implement Bible-based programs for our guests.


  • A natural ability to love and work with children is essential! This staff member will need to demonstrate flexibility, patience, endurance and have a strong desire to share Christ.
  • Ages 15+

Kids Ministry Special Needs Floater Team Member 

It takes compassion and understanding to fulfil this role. Flexibility and love for children with special needs will be characteristics of someone serving in this role. They will need to be knowledgeable about the needs of children and be able to work closely with their parents to provide a positive and enriching experience. Additionally, these students must be capable of working in each area of Kids Ministry, and filling in wherever needed. Age 17+
