Position Description

Stepping Stones at MBC

Stepping Stones is a 2-4 month intentional discipleship experience, which aims to bring youth towards maturity in Christ by Renewing their relationship with God, Connecting them to a healthy community, and Equipping them to do God's work. In order to accomplish this, Stepping Stones develops youth in three areas: Spiritual Formation (Bible studies, teaching sessions, spiritual disciplines, etc.), Community Life (fellowship with a healthy community of believers) and Work Excellence (summer positions with Muskoka Bible Centre). Through Stepping Stones, MBC recruits and enrolls over 100 youth (15-25 yrs. old) for our spring/summer program.

Marina Supervisor

The beach, marina, and recreation amenities are where our guests can relax, have fun and enjoy being in Muskoka! Marina Supervisors will work with the Marina manager, as well as several staff members, to ensure that marina activities are managed with safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities include: boat driving, guest service, administrative responsibilities, boat slip monitoring, clearing the beach, maintaining marina and sports venues.

Requirements: 

  • The ideal CORE candidates will be self-directed, detail-oriented, have the desire/ability to motivate and lead others, and be able to handle administrative duties.
  • Must be at least 18;
  • Boating License and First Aid CPR C required;
  • ORCKA Canoeing/Kayaking experience and Bronze Cross/NLS an asset.

Marina Assistant 

The beach, marina, and recreation amenities are where our guests can relax, have fun and enjoy being in Muskoka! You will work with the Marina Supervisors to ensure that marina activities are managed with safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service. Responsibilities will include: guest service, rental and sign-out of marina equipment, and general marina maintenance.

Requirements: 

  • Canoeing/Kayaking experience, boating license, and First Aid/CPR C an asset.
  • Age 15+
