Position Description

CPPC is an evangelical church of Arabic speaking immigrants and their families in Canada. A growing, dynamic and loving Church, seeking to reach people with the love of God and the Full Gospel of Christ, to worship Him in spirit and truth, and to serve Him in the world, by developing generations that live the life of faith and the values and teachings of the Holy Bible.

The church needs to add to its pastoral staff an Associate English Ministry Director (AEMD) to provide spiritual nourishment and mentoring to the youth in the church. In addition, to reach out to English speaking adults, including CPPC former youth/adult, and the surrounding community..

Asscociate English Ministry Director (AMED)

The AEMD is appointed by the Session of CPPC and will be working closely with the English Ministry Director (EMD), a leadership team appointed by CPPC Session, and CPPC Pastoral Team. The Youth Worker reports directly to CPPC Senior Minister

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To lead and direct CPPC children/youth/adult groups of Junior High - grades 6 to 8, High School - grades 9 to 12, Young Adults (college & Careers), and  English speaking adults/ families.
  • To Support the development and delivery of Christian Education Curriculum for English Ministry.
  • To faithfully teach and preach the Word of God including Sunday morning services.
  • To provide pastoral care including small groups, and also through one-on-one interaction.
  • To develop and train leaders
  • To organize and lead retreats and special activities.
  • Oversee and provide spiritual leadership to English ministries including the Ashton Meadows Sports Camp (AMSC)
  • To be actively involved in the surrounding community, outreach ministries and minister through prayer, encouragement, teaching, discipling, and visitations.
  • To serve coherently with other members of the Pastoral Team
  • To assist with the annual strategic planning process to evaluate ministry effectiveness and identify growth opportunities.

  • A team player, energetic, self-motivated, with strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to be a role model and mentor to students others by actions, words, and deeds.
  • Gift of “hanging out with youth” while maintaining appropriate boundaries of ministry.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in youth leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
