Position Description

Direct Report: Creative Arts Pastor

Job Type: Part-Time

Purpose:

To serve the church by providing effective and proficient audio engineering while providing leadership, supervision and training for department volunteers and staff.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative

  • Collaborate with Creative Arts Pastor, Musical Director and Tech Advisor to ensure cohesiveness between the Music and Audio/Visual departments/teams
  • Maintain a schematic of the churches audio system and facilitate its operation, maintenance, upkeep and relevance
  • Create and maintain inventory listing of all Technical equipment

Audio/Visual

  • Supervise and train all audio personnel during rehearsals on Thursday evenings, for Sunday services and during Wednesday evening Bible studies as needed
  • Provide sound engineering for all Sunday Services, Wednesday night Bible Studies, Thursday night rehearsals and Special Services as needed and supervise scheduled staff and volunteers.
  • Facilitate sound checks along with Musical Director to ensure that all mics and instrument levels are satisfactory both for live in house and live to stream for ALL services
  • Set up and prepare Protools, Cubase or Logic session for multitrack recording ALL Sunday Services and Special Services including but not limited to Easter, Christmas and Specials Meetings
  • Schedule maintenance of audio equipment as needed
  • Schedule equipment and operators for special events such as Community Fair, Cyclefest

Knowledge and Skill Assets

  • Knowledge of Protools, Ableton, DMX Digital Lighting, Camera Operations
  • Experience with IEM’s
  • Knowledge of the digital consoles such as X32, M32 and/or equivalent digital consoles

General Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Effective time management capabilities
  • Excellent at troubleshooting and working in a high pressure environment
  • Able to work odd hours, evenings and weekends
