Summary

The Research and Communication Assistant (an 8 week Canada Summer Jobs position) is responsible to assist the City Director in organizing and planning outreach connected with newcomer communities and international students. These responsibilities include but are not limited to research, communication, administrative support and data management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and utilize electronic solutions to organize and communicate data
  • Research and collect data regarding newcomers, international students, and the individuals, campuses and agencies serving them
  • Conduct electronic, phone and face to face marketing and communications related to organizational objectives
  • Prepare monthly prayer letters for donors and supporters.

Related Responsibilities

  1. Report to the City Director and actively participate in a mentoring relationship 
  2. Collaborate with the churches, parachurch organizations, agencies and individuals in pursuit of the organizational mission statement
  3. Engage in ongoing Professional and Spiritual Development  

Professional Qualifications

A university education and demonstrated experience doing independent research is preferred

  • Be committed to a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment framed by agreement and compliance with the Lifestyle Practice & Conduct Policy and Statement of Faith
