Position Description

Primary Responsibilities

These responsibility areas are only a description of the activities associated with this job description and not an extensive list thereof. The holder of this position is therefore required to loyally fulfil all reasonably requested activities not listed.

Leadership

Build and lead an effective, innovative communications and marketing team to support OM’s strategic objectives, mission and vision.

Core activities:

  • Ensure an effective marketing plan and initiatives are developed and implemented.
  • Ensure team members have appropriate resources to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain network of internal and external relationships in and outside of OM.
  • Develop and manage department budget.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaigns and provide recommendations for strategy development based on data-driven insight.

Marketing:

Coordinate our marketing activities in order to contribute to our strategic direction.

Core activities:

  • Manage campaign processes in order to ensure our content meets our objectives and the needs of our key partners.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns using relevant digital channels.
  • Ensure ongoing review and improvements of all digital media (website, Instagram, Facebook, etc) in light of OM social media policy.
  • Manage the production of marketing and brand collateral items.

Job Requirements

Minimum preferred requirements

  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A positive, professional attitude and demeanour
  • Experience in project management
  • Previous cross-cultural engagement or mission experience
  • At least two years in a related role in a global business or ministry organization
  • Undergrad in Marketing/Communications (or equivalent experience)
  • Able to work flexible hours in order to connect around the world.

Required knowledge

  • Knowledge of current marketing trends and best practice

Technical competencies

  • Knowledge and experience with communications and graphic design technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to use appropriate software used in OM
