Position Description

International Messengers is seeking a part-time Office Administrator. This position is ½ to ¾ time with potential growth to full-time. This person will be responsible for all office activities (excluding bookkeeping) including, but not limited to the following: answer phones, greet and assist guests in a professional manner, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, assist/coordinate office events, keep records, coordinate volunteers, data entry, process and deposit donations, manage petty cash, process and pay credit card statements, invoices, and expense/advance reports, process staff (short and long term) applications and communications, edit and publish newsletters, organize and keep the office files, make airline, accommodation, and car rental reservations, prepare and mail follow-up materials, maintain adequate stores of marketing brochures and office supplies, update application packages each fall, make preparations for training weekends (food service, facility coordination, communication with trainees), manage the follow-up database and prepare follow-up materials, manage our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, prepare promotional campaigns using Workbooks database and MailChimp (or similar programs).

The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.  

As a priority, this person must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a heart for cross-cultural missions.

This person must have strong communications skills, both written and verbal, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, attention to detail, be team-oriented with a positive attitude as well as ability to work unsupervised.

This position requires the ability to become proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Gmail, and operation of standard office equipment (scan, fax, copy, phone, etc.).

This is a faith-based mission and therefore all paid employees at IM are expected to raise financial funding in support of their position. The amount of hours worked will depend on funds raised.
