Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant will support the GTA City Director in administering, communicating, coordinating, and implementing student engagement activities, while also developing their skills in a mentoring environment.

Position Details

  • Position Type: 8 weeks Full-Time (35 Hours/week)
  • Salary: $14.00/hr (Position made possible by Canada Summer Job)
  • Location: Greater Toronto Area. While COVID restrictions are in effect, most activities will be online, but preference will be given to candidates who can commute to the East side of the city.  

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact or the GTA City Director.
  • Schedule and confirm GTA City Director’s appointments. 
  • Research and prepare meeting notes, correspondence, invoices, brochures, and reports.
  • Correspond with team members and partner organizations.

Qualifications

  • Between the age of 15 and 30. 
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Demonstrated organizational, oral, and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to function both independently and under supervision.
  • Competent in setting and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment. 
  • Online networking and engagement skills are essential.
