Mission Statement

The purpose of the London First Church of the Nazarene (LFCN) is to produce committed, Spirit-filled disciples of Christ who practice the holiness lifestyle.

About the Position

London First Church of the Nazarene in London, Ontario is seeking to hire a Worship Leader.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is a maturing disciple of Christ and seeking to live as a Spirit-filled disciple of Jesus.
  • Has a heart and personal passion for worship.
  • Has a good theological and practical knowledge of worship and is passionate about leading others in worship.
  • Has an appreciation and sensitivity for all styles of worship and is willing to learn and adapt to LFCN’s multicultural, intergenerational and multi-ethnic expressions of worship.
  • Has a Pastor/Shepherd heart for those he/she serves and is called to lead.
  • Is faithful in attendance at Sunday morning worship services – whether or not leading in worship.
  • Attends a regular CE Group/Growth Group or some other Christian growth/discipleship group. 
  • Will be actively involved in the ministry of LFCN and supportive of the church’s mission and its leadership.
  • Is willing to listen, is teachable and a servant-leader
  • Is in full support of the Articles of Faith and Church of the Nazarene Manual.


  • Be a servant-leader
  • Lead the Sunday morning worship music at least 3 times per month.
  • Responsible for the coordination and leadership of all music in the Sunday morning worship services.
  • On-going development of existing worship teams
  • Recruitment and training of new musicians and teams
  • Able to incorporate a blend of older and contemporary worship songs into the worship experience.
  • Able to read music scores and play an instrument.
  • Able to lead worship vocally.
  • Oversee the rotation of scheduled worship practices and morning worship teams


  • Start date of September 2020
  • Serve 15 hours per week (Part-Time)
