Position Description

The ministry relations department is responsible to facilitate, develop, and maintain relationships with friends of IFLC for a mutually-satisfying return on investment in order to advance the ministry and its mission. As part of ministry relations, the ministry relations representative is the first point of contact for constituents with various needs and is responsible for constituent care and customer service.


  • Able to connect with people of all ages and personalities, yet maintain appropriate boundaries
  • Some Bible college or discipleship program an asset
  • Comfortable praying over the phone with constituents
  • Able to work well in both a team environment and independently
  • Adaptable to a changing work and cultural environment
  • Gracious, mature, conscientious, detail oriented, and accountable
  • Owns problems, creates solutions, and pursues excellence
  • Reasonable aptitude for computers and learning new technology
  • Experience with donor software or CRM is an asset

Core Job Functions

Relational (40%)

  • Answering incoming phone calls and monitoring general delivery emails
  • Facilitating individual needs such as taking donations and orders, passing along pastoral and prayer requests, giving information, and helping navigate our websites, sign up for emails and mailings, and troubleshoot technical issues with our programs
  • Preparing, signing, and sending written communications (such as letters, notecards, and emails) and making outgoing phone calls
  • Collaborating with other departments in quality control and problem solving
  • Other duties as assigned

Operational/Administrative (40%)

  • Administration of the Monthly Partner program as it relates to processing transactions and its organizational aspects such as new partners, updates, and cancellations
  • Batch checking
  • Creating new constituent accounts and making account changes and corrections
  • Assisting with data reporting and/or segmentation file processes as needed

Developmental (15%)

  • Performing outbound calling campaigns
  • Engaging with constituents to build ministry relationships
  • Participating in organization and execution of external events, which may require minimal travel

Professional Development (5%)

  • Commits to the challenges of growth and development according to a professional development plan
  • Pursues knowledge and/or experience with a positive attitude
  • Enables colleagues to become better in their pursuits


This position is currently accountable to the ministry relations director

It is crucial to understand and support the mission and core values of IFLC.
