Position Description
The ministry relations department is responsible for facilitating, developing, and maintaining relationships with friends of Insight for Living Canada (IFLC) for a mutually satisfying return on investment in order to advance the ministry and its mission. Within the department, the monthly partner co-ordinator works to strengthen the relationships IFLC has with monthly supporters (Monthly Partners) by encouraging them caring for their relational and administrative needs, and advocating for them internally. This is a full-time position based in our Abbotsford, British Columbia office.
Qualifications
- Able to relate well with people of all ages and personalities, particularly seniors, while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Familiar with Pastor Chuck Swindoll and Insight for Living Ministries
- Comfortable praying over the phone or in person with constituents
- Gracious, mature, conscientious, and accountable
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Some Bible College or discipleship training program
- Familiar with charity and non-profit fundraising
- Able to travel (local and national travel may be required for in-person visits and ministry events)
Core Job Functions
Developmental (60%)
- Building relationships with Monthly Partners through phone and video calls, emails, and in-person visits
- Collaborating with relevant departments in developing and executing relationship-building strategies
- Collaborating with relevant departments in developing and executing Monthly Partner communications strategies
- Facilitating individual needs such as taking donations and orders and passing along pastoral needs and prayer requests
- Participating in the broader organization and execution of donor-related events
- Collaborating with executive director on donor visits and/or virtual meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Operational/Administrative (35%)
- Recording documentation of connections
- As this is a newly created position, an initial task will be to help shape and define its structure and remove ambiguity
- Preparing, signing, and sending written communications (such as letters, notecards, and emails)
- Assisting as needed in answering phones and helping constituents, particularly at peak times and for holiday coverage
Professional Development (5%)
- Commits to the challenges of growth and development according to a professional development plan
- Pursues knowledge and/or experience with a positive attitude
- Enables colleagues to become better in their pursuits

This position is currently accountable to the ministry relations director
