Sauble Beach , Ontario , NOH2GO
North Sauble Community Church invites you to prayerfully consider this Summer Pastoral Position from May 21st. till the end of August. Below is a brief summary of this varied job description that will prepare any student or married couple for full-time ministry!
One of our main focuses and priority at North Sauble Community Church is the CHILDREN that have attended our vacation bible school in the past and the ones that will attend in the future. We have seen many children dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ through our Vacation Bible School known as " North Club" and this delights our hearts. It will begin again this year on July 3, 2023, and continues until August 30, 2023.
During the month of June, there will be an opportunity for the Pastor to begin to organize and make a plan for each week including Bible stories, crafts, songs, games, object lessons, and drama.
The ages of children will be 6 to 10 years of age. It will begin at 10 a.m. and finish at noon Monday to Friday. A police check and the completion of a first aid course will be required by the student ( PASTOR) in working with the children. Any experience with children would be an asset in this position.
Sunday, May 21, 2023, will be our first Sunday at North Sauble. Hopefully, the student has arrived on the Saturday prior to the service and will be settling into the cottage provided at no cost which is part of our church property. OUR Pastoral student must be mature enough to live alone. Prior to that Sunday, a bulletin will be provided for the Pastor prior to service with an order of service including Greetings, Prayer, Offering, Hymns, Scripture, and Sermon. The student will be asked to give their first sermon at Sauble Beach during that service and it should last 15 minutes or so.
This is why we choose to hire someone who has some Biblical theology background.
In the following weeks till the end of June, each service will be led by the student with assistance if needed in our Sunday school room.
During the months of July and August, the student Pastor will be organizing the bulletin and printing it at the library for the guest speakers that will arrive each Sunday. It is your job to arrive 15 to 20 minutes prior to the service to open the church doors and greet the speaker that has arrived that day. Prior to their arrival, all information for the bulletin will be given to the student by the visiting pastor.
The Pre-teens group from 10 to 13 years old may be part of our church plan for this summer if there is a supporting need, talking and sharing about God and what is happening in their lives can be a vital help in someone's life.
Organizing, cleaning, tidying, mowing the lawn, and watering the plants are all chores that need to be taken care of by the student in keeping our church property neat and presentable.
There may be special events for "North club"like a hot dog roast and a corn boil where parents and children join together to have fun and share with their parents what they had been doing and learning from North Club.
There are many perspectives to this job but a very fulfilling one as well.
