Position Description

Pembina Valley Bible Camp is a non-denominational Christian Camp surrounded by 240 acres of unspoiled natural beauty nestled into the edge of the escarpment. Our passion and source of vision comes from knowing God through Jesus Christ, and discovering truth as revealed in his Word.
Since 1976, our goal has been to gain relationships with campers through a well-balanced mix of recreation, camping instruction, and Bible teaching. We offer campers a place to meet God through studying His Word and the wonders of His creation: to learn, achieve, grow and mature together through exciting outdoor activities that foster new friendships and cultivate growing, authentic, contagious relationships with God.

As the Executive Director of Pembina Valley Bible Camp, you are a Christ-focused person with a proven gifting in turning hearts towards Jesus, one heart at a time. Your strong spiritual disciplines lead you to live out your faith practically, authentically, and humbly. Your life demonstrates a consistent calling and gifting for the role. You are a person who has a passion and enthusiasm for life. You possess a natural ability to vision, lead, mentor and are active in your local church.

Primary Skills Required:

  • capable of establishing and cultivating strong relationships with peers, across different levels of the organization, and externally with supporters 
  • able to relate to all types of people and have compassion and interest for those you meet
  • being comfortable speaking in churches and public events
  • being a strategic thinker
  • having excellent organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • to be the spiritual leader and administrative head of PVBC
  • to lead and implement the mission and vision of the organization
  • to connect with all levels of the organization: staff, board, churches, and business community
  • to report to the Board of Directors and act as the communication between staff and the board
  • to manage Human Resources 
  • to supervise, encourage, and empower staff to maximize their giftings
  • to promote PVBC across southern Manitoba
  • to provide fiscal planning and management
  • to partner with the community and secure financial support to run the camp

*Previous leadership experience in camp ministry and post secondary education in a related field will be considered assets.
