Position Description

Connect Church in Cranbrook, BC is seeking a Children and Families Pastor.

Connect Church exists to introduce Jesus, strengthen disciples and send believers into the world to serve God’s kingdom. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the same for kids as it is for adults and we are passionate about seeing kids and families come alive in Christ together, strengthening at home discipleship and reaching kids and families in the community of Cranbrook.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who will do anything short of sin to be able to share the love of Jesus with others. The love of Jesus should be so evident in this person that they lead like Jesus, create like Jesus and are motivated to love our children and families like Jesus.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week) and offers a flexible salary based on education and experience as well as a benefits plan.

This relational person works diligently to partner parents with Connect Kids programs and creates tools to foster discipleship at home. They interact within the community to host outreach events. This person creates trusted relationships with volunteers and families in order to foster growing relationships with Jesus in our children.

Basic duties include:

  • Leader development and team building
  • Volunteer recruitment
  • Sunday morning oversight including volunteers, curriculums and security
  • Community outreach events
  • At-home discipleship resources and support
  • Creative growth plans to enhance programs, outreaches and ministries
