Employment Type:  0.6 - 0.8 FTE beginning in August… Full-time starting Jan 2023

Start Date: as early as September 19th, 2022

Located in Beaverton, Ontario, Canada, Fair Havens Ministries is a Christian, non-profit organization composed of a Summer Family Camp,  Year Round Retreat Centre, Outdoor Christian Education Centre, as well as a Discipleship Program called Stepping Stones.

Job Summary

This individual will be a part of our Front Office Team helping to oversee the day to day operations of Fair Havens Ministries. They will be directly overseeing all retreat functions and group/event experiences in order to  contribute to “Excellence in Guests Service and Experience”. This job will require some evenings, weekends and holiday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a part of the Front Office Guest Services Team; available to direct phones calls and greet onsite guests in a professional manner;
  • Handle bookings and inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner in order to ensure maximum potential use of Fair Havens facilities and services;
  • Liaise with the Group/Event Director to ensure we meet or exceed the expectations of each group or event.
  • Process payments and record payments for accounting records;
  • Be available to greet each rental group upon arrival with keys and information available; act as Fair Havens liaison with groups, welcoming and addressing all concerns working to ensure a life changing experience.
  • Along with the Group & Event Sales person, participate in monthly function meetings for Fair Havens staff, outlining details of upcoming retreat bookings/groups, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Guest/customer service experience required
  • A proven track record of excellence in hospitality, customer service and event planning
  • Computer skills are required (MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Google Docs etc.)
