Position Description

We are excited that our team at Calvary Baptist Church - Guelph is expanding!  If you are high energy, and have a passion to guide and mentor youth through what can be a challenging time in their lives, we'd love to hear from you!

We are seeking a full-time Youth/Young Adult Pastor to join our team here at Calvary Baptist Church - Guelph. The person we are seeking will:

  • Have a strong relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Have previous experience and/or education in a church or parachurch setting working with youth enjoy working as part of a team
  • Posess strong interpersonal skills to build solid relationships with youth and parents
  • Posses strong communcation skills to help make Scripture relevant and relatable to youth
  • Live out their faith authentically as a role model for youth
  • Have the desire and skills needed to build a team to work alongside them in the minstry
  • Be familiar with the challenges that young people face in today's world and a willingness to walk alongside youth as they face these challenges

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of Youth ministry
  • Leading weekly youth gatherings
  • Curriculum development
  • Planning of special events, camps, etc. related to youth 
  • Recruitment, development and mentoring of youth leaders
  • Development of an annual budget
