Position Description

Newmarket Christian Academy (NCA) is seeking a qualified Christian educator to join our team as a K-8 Music Teacher.

The role of Music Teacher at NCA requires;

• Ability to teach vocal music, ukulele, and band instruments
• Demonstrated knowledge of music theory and vocal ability
• Background in Music (degree in Music Education, other music accreditation)
• Technical knowledge and experience with production performance for events such as Christmas concerts, recitals etc. are highly valued
• Knowledge of Ministry expectations for music grades K - 8 and OCT certification are an asset

The role of the classroom Music Teacher is approximately a 50% teaching load. Private music lessons, as well as engagement in other areas of school life, are available for this to be a full-time position.
