Position Description

Purpose – To lead and oversee the disciple-making process within the congregation, with a particular focus on the young adults.

Responsibilities

• To team up with present leadership to provide pastoral care for the young adults
• To build-up seekers and believers into spiritual maturity
• To teach and preach about discipleship
• To be engaged in disciple-making
• To organize and participate in congregational small groups
• To participate in leadership discussions about growing a healthy, biblical church community

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or presently enrolled in theological studies
• Has a vibrant and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Has a passion for biblical discipleship and spiritual formation
• Fluency in a second language besides English would be an asset

Experiences

• Minimum of 2 years involvement in leading discipleship programs and ministries
• Has been engaged in developing and training believers to follow Jesus
• Has led and participated in small groups ministry

Accountability

• To the Session
• To present pastoral leadership

Renumeration

• Negotiable, based on experience and training; $25-$35/hour x 10 minimum/week
• Starting as a part-time position, but the position has the potential to grow into a full-time position
• There will be an initial 3-month probation period
