Position Description
The Student Ministry Pastor is primarily responsible for providing direction for the student ministry and specifically for developing a team of volunteer leaders to serve the spiritual formation of our middle school and high school environments at Pathway Church.
The full-time position would consist of 75% of weekly hours dedicated to being the Student Ministry Pastor and the other 25% giving leadership to one other area of ministry consistent with the successful candidate's skill set and the needs of the church (may include one of the following: young adult ministry, media/tech, local outreach coordination, etc).
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the primary driver of recruiting, training, care, and coaching of student ministry volunteers
- Create a pathway of spiritual growth and leadership for students that is consistent with the “Think Orange” philosophy of ministry
- Oversee all student ministry programming and events, including calendar planning, teaching content, and delegation of responsibilities
- Foster a culture of personal connection among leaders, students and parents; including recruiting and assigning small group leaders for each grade and gender
- Ensure that all teaching content & materials meet the highest possible standards
- Develop and implement a strategy for moving students from guests to attenders to fully engaged students

- Model’s standards and expectations of leaders within Pathway Church
- If not already attending Pathway Church, must agree to make Pathway Church your home church.
Requirements:
- Passion for leading volunteers and partnering with parents
- Experience in organizing multiple projects and events
- Highly organized; flexible and able to multitask
- Exemplary oral & written skills
- Proficiency in digital communication (experience with graphic design is helpful)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- 2-5 years’ experience in ministry or church vocational work (preferred)
- Related Bachelor's degree (an asset)

Pay band
Salary range of $47,250-$63,900 depending on qualifications and experience
