Position Description

The Spiritual Formation Pastor at Trinity Church will be responsible for overseeing the spiritual growth and discipleship programs within the church. This role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing strategies that promote spiritual development and maturity among church members. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a deeper relationship with God and cultivating a vibrant faith community. A few responsibilities include:

Program Development:

  • Design and lead spiritual formation courses.
  • Implement a discipleship pathway for all ages.
  • Integrate spiritual formation into church life.
  • Leadership and Training:
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training sessions.

Pastoral Care:

  • Offer pastoral care and spiritual guidance.
  • Provide mentorship and follow-up for new believers.

Teaching and Preaching:

  • Capacity to teach in small + large group settings
  • Participate as an active member in Teaching Stream development and Weekend Preaching Team

Community Engagement:

  • Foster relationships within community groups and spiritual friendships
  • Encourage participation in spiritual formation activities.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, Christian Education, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in spiritual formation, discipleship, or a related ministry role.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing spiritual growth programs in a church setting.
  • 5+ years of successful leadership and a proven track record in pastoral ministry.
  • 5+ years of experience administering budgets, growing volunteers, and managing staff.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong biblical knowledge and theological understanding.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and develop volunteer leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital resources for ministry purposes.
  • Superb relationship management, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, including the ability to inspire.
  • The ability to drive innovation, change, and growth, and be a detail-oriented implementer who can mobilize small teams to translate strategy into results.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000 per year (Competitive salary proportionate with experience)
