Position Description
Tyndale is a Christian university that prepares leaders for work in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, ministry and the global mission of the church. Tyndale offers fully accredited programs in a wide range of disciplines at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, there are over 1,600 students representing over 40 denominations and 60 ethnic backgrounds and over 13,000 alumni. Founded in 1894, Tyndale is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Position Purpose
The Registration Associate is responsible for the smooth functioning of the day-to-day activities in the Office of the Registrar as well as for providing administrative support to the Registrar, Assistant Registrar and Senior Registration Officer. This position supports the department by assisting with activities that contribute to student success and improved retention.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Service and Communication
- Timely and accurate response to student inquiries related to course selection and registration.
- Timely and accurate response to faculty and staff requests regarding classes and registration.
- Be familiar with academic policies and curriculum to provide academic advising for students.
- Serve at the registration counter.
- Handle inquiries received through registration@tyndale.ca.
Registration Activities
- Timely and accurate registration of students.
- Assist registration for International students.
- Perform graduation audit.
- Prepare official letters.
- Assist in the production of transcripts.
- Monitoring waitlist for course registration.
- Monitoring pending registration forms.
- Assist in the Convocation activities.
Assist to Registrar, Assistant Registrar and Senior Registration Officer
- Provide project and administrative support required by the Registrar, Assistant Registrar and the Senior Registration Officer.
- Assist in the production of the Academic Calendar.
Position Qualifications
Education
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
Experience
- 3 years of administrative experience
- Administrative experience in a non-profit or educational institution
Skills and Abilities
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and perform tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and handle customer problems and complaints in a professional manner

- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment

Salary
- $40,000 - $43,000
