Position Description

Camp Chestermere is a faith based organization located on the lake in east Chestermere. We run an evangelical children’s camp in the summer and rent our facilities throughout the year.

We are seeking a Rentals & Hospitality Coordinator to create the rental guest experience. Fulfilling the vision of creating space for campers to connect with Christ through our hospitality—both by generating profitable revenues to help subsidize the camping ministry and by creating a space for our hospitality guests (a different type of “camper”) to connect with Christ and each other. Overseeing the guest experience from first contact through their time at Camp Chestermere to follow-up.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create the rental guest experience. (25%)
  • Build your hospitality team to fulfill the vision for hospitality at Camp Chestermere. (25%)
  • Manage the inquiries and bookings for hospitality. (40%)
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and staff team to make Camp Chestermere a preferred rental location. (10%)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Character:

  • Must be actively following Christ and support the vision of Camp Chestermere.
  • Must be willing to follow Camp Chestermere’s Lifestyle Agreement.
  • A willingness to learn and grow.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively on a team.
  • Must have a strong faith and the ability to lead spiritually, reflecting the camp’s mission and values.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and maturity.
  • Must love serving others by creating a welcoming space.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in management.
  • Experience in management—a combination of 5 years of work experience and/or relevant education.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience in understanding and managing facility rentals.
