Job Description
Yorkton Alliance Church is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Pastor for children and youth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with young people, cultivate spiritual growth, and empower the next generation to live out their faith boldly.
Responsibilities
- Children & Youth Ministry Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of the youth ministry program, including but not limited to youth gatherings, discipleship groups, retreats, and outreach activities.
- Spiritual Formation: Provide biblically sound teaching, mentorship, and guidance to help youth develop a deep and personal relationship with Christ. Foster an environment where young people can explore their faith, ask questions, and grow spiritually.
- Community Building: Build meaningful relationships with youth and their families, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the church. Collaborate with other church ministries to create opportunities for intergenerational connections and support.
- Outreach and Evangelism: Develop creative strategies to reach out to youth in the local community and engage them in the life of the church. Equip youth to be ambassadors of Christ in their schools, neighbourhoods, and beyond.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Plan and execute engaging events, outings, and service projects that appeal to youth interests and passions. Coordinate logistics, recruit volunteers, and ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
Qualifications
- A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the principles of the Christian faith.
- Previous experience working with youth in a ministry or leadership capacity is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to work as part of a team and support the overall mission of the church.
- A relevant degree or certification in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred.
- Complete the licensing process of the Alliance Church.
